Information
The Lower Pigeon is a pretty chill river with lots of little surf waves and interesting eddy lines. The water is warmer than the Hiwassee, so swimming is not a terrible shock to the system. The goal of this trip is to get paddlers more comfortable on the water, give them a supportive environment to work on skills (if desired - challenge by choice!), get a better understanding of setting shuttle, and getting to know your paddling community. Safety is always the number one priority, followed by fun.
Put-on time is dependent on the release schedule. Generally they release at noon and water gets to the lower put in around 1. But if they release earlier, we will put on earlier. This should be determined by Wednesday before the trip. We will run shuttle and cover safety and be ready to put on when the water is running.
Registration closes Wednesday at 10 pm.
