Information
A no-shuttle paddle exploring the North shore of this famous summer getaway. We'll enjoy a peaceful midday on this calm body as we stay relatively close to shore, circumnavigating islands and practicing our draw strokes and carving skills among some emergent brush clumps. Water level permitting, we'll get into a little-known section with a surprise feature that's rare in this part of the state.
If it's a hot day, possibility of a swim at some point!
All rec or touring boats welcome. Paddlers should be able to maintain forward progress at a moderate pace for 6-8 miles. Open to current Chota members with signed waiver on file. This trip is coordinated by a club member who does not have safety certification.
Meeting time is 9:30 am. Location will be included in your registration confirmation message, so be sure to check it!
