Sept 21 -Ocoee Lite, Whitewater Training Trip
From Sep 21, 2024, 10:00 AM ET to Sep 21, 2024, 4:00 PM ET
Closed!

Information

Primary River: Ocoee

Point of contact: Angela Wood

It's that time of year again. The end-of-season trip that some of you have been working hard to make. We will be paddling the Ocoee Lite section of the Ocoee River on September 21. The plan is to meet at the Big Creek Access parking lot (otherwise known as the private boater takeout). From there we will consolidate boats, and set up a shuttle.

Ocoee Lite basically means we will not be running Grumpies. The actual put in will be either the Rails (much easier for parking) or Slice-N-Dice (skips the three hardest rapids, but parking is not ideal). A decision on where to put in will be made after talking to the group.

General requirements are at least a 50/50 whitewater roll and participation in some of our training trips or the training trips of another club. (The Upper Pigeon or equivalent).

You MUST contact me by Wednesday, September 18, 2024, to get on the list for this trip.

I will cap the number of participants based on the number of safety boaters that I have, so don't procrastinate.

You can email, text or Facebook message me that you want to join or if you have questions.
