Information
We've worked all winter long to get our roll skills all worked out. Let's kick it up a notch and see what it's like in cold water.
Come join us at Meads Quarry on Saturday, March 15th for our Chota-Bear Plunge. We'll provide instruction on proper precautions, clothing, and gear to keep ourselves safe while paddling in the cold-weather or cold-water environment. Then we'll hop in our boats for cold-water roll practice and games. If you haven't experienced rolling in cooooold water, this session is for you. It's different than the indoor pool! You'll walk away with experience gained under controlled conditions that will provide significant benefit on future paddles. We'll have a warm tent, hot drinks, and a few snacks to help get warmed back up when we're done.
Meads Quarry address: 3526 Island Home Ave, Knoxville, TN 37920
Experience required: A semi-reliable roll would be great. If you aren't there yet, just let us know - as long as you know how to be T-Rescued, we can get you the same experience.
