Enjoy two nights of paddle-in camping and two days of gorgeous lake paddling from waterfall to waterfall as we explore famously gorgeous Lake Jocassee, 7,500 acres of clear, cool water surrounded by largely undeveloped shoreline with only one public access.
Friday, June 26: Arrive at the park, paddle about a mile across to make camp at sites 19, 20, and 21.
Saturday, June 27: paddle the East arm to see Mill Creek Falls, Laurel Falls, Jocassee Jumping Rock, and cross into North Carolina by water (and back)
Sunday, June 28: paddle the West arm to Thompson River Falls, Foothills Train Lower Falls, and others.
Daily mileage adjustable to paddler preference; recommend at least 12 per day
Campsites have tent pads, fire rings, and pit toilets. Up to 3 tents/6 campers per site. Plan on a short but steep clamber from water to campsite.
$65 per person for campsite rental. Non-refundable after April 15.
On April 15, I will release any unneeded campsite reservations.
After that date, you may still register, but you will need to secure your own site reservation.
