Emphasis on the MORNING: we'll start early to soak up the sounds of the water & wildlife awakening. Let's enjoy a tranquil tour of this fabulous local reservoir to the West of Melton Hill Park. We'll wind through a narrow section to where it widens out, exploring any little coves, before returning to our put-in. Route shown is representative, not exact.
- Approximate mileage: 10
- Approximate paddle time 3-4 hours
- Expected conditions: calm flatwater; dress for 50-degree water temps. We'll do a wind & rain check the day before.
- Bring: boat, paddle, PFD, water, thermos of coffee!
MEET: 7:30am / LAUNCH 8:00am / RETURN noon
At the boat ramp in Melton Hill Park. Once you enter the park, follow Williams Bend Road to the left down towards the boat ramp.
