This three day, two night backcountry paddle and camping trip is designed for 1st or 2nd timers to streamline and practice downriver camping. Backcountry camping can be a transformative experience, especially along the bank. Let me share what I’ve learned through trial and error on down river trips in Ontario, on the Rio Grande, in the Everglades, and countless other backcountry excursions in the southeast. Before we launch, the goal is that you are comfortable and confident in your set up and feel safe moving camp to camp while we are on the water. I will be your coach and guide every step of the way. This is a class I, flatwater trip.
Are you a frequent downriver tripper and would like to join and support those who are polishing their system? Join us too!
Space is limited to 6 people, in accordance with the National Park backcountry permit system. First come first served.
