Event Description
This is an entry level course ideal for boaters of all styles, including everything between whitewater and touring. It will be 16 hours of instruction and includes lectures, hands on application, and CPR.
The course is an approved Emergencey Care and Safety Insitute class provided by a certified instructor.
Miki, our instructor, is a Chota Canoe Club member, an ACA L3 certified instructor, nurse, and long time boater.
As the event nears, watch your email for a Survey Monkey link from Miki so she can tailor this class to the group's background and needs.
Maximum class size of 12 students.
What to Bring
- A comfortable chair,
- Your lunch,
- Snacks to share,
- Money to go out to dinner together on Saturday evening (optional).
The premises have fresh water, clean bathrooms, refrigerator, microwave, ice, K-Cup coffee maker, and hot water kettle.
The Fine Print
Chota will reimburse Club members for the cost of this class upon successful completion-so that makes this a free course!
