Information

Join us for a scenic paddle on Tellico Lake.

Meet at the rear parking lot of the Hardees located at the intersection of Highways 411 and 360 at 9:45 am on April 19.

We will put in at the Toqua Boat ramp at 10 am on April 19 and paddle to the Ft Loudon Historic site. We will then circumnavigate the island, on which the Fort is located, in a clockwise direction, before stopping for a snack/stretch/bathroom break at the Fort. The Sequoyah Birthplace Museum is also located on this island. Then we will return to the put in. [see enclosed map].

This time of year, there may be strong winds and waves on portions of this trip. The estimated length of this trip is 7 to 7.5 miles. Paddlers should be capable of maintaining an average paddling pace of 3 mph for the duration of this trip.  The minimum required boat length is 13 feet.

Please email any questions to trip leader Richard Redano at rredano@yahoo.com. The RSVP deadline is 5 pm on April 17.
